I met Sensei Aguilar first early 2000 when he came to train for a night as a guest where I was teaching at my former Dojo. Then several years later I met him again at a local tournament as we competed in the same division and in 2011 he was making the long commute from Waterford to Ann Arbor to train at my Karate school.

During that time, I met his wonderful family and learned he was training his young daughters, Victoria and Grace, Karate at his home. I remember he told me he was opening his own Karate school, a suggestion from his Pastor, and under the guidance of the Lord. With the high energy and spirit in Sensei Aguilar, I knew he would be awesome at this.
 

When I get the opportunity to visit his Karate school, there are kids that started in 2014 that still train today, including Victoria and Grace, who are now Black Belts!

Not only does Grace Karate-Do, under the instruction of Sensei Rudy Aguilar, teach kids Karate, but also respect, confidence, self-control, in a Family and friendship environment. Adding to this, he also guides the kids in how to be successful in life while using Christian values.
